Well we are staked and digging should start on Thursday. Judging by the stakes our backyard won't be all that big and I'm OK with that. Also the subdivisions mailboxes were just installed and I think they're pretty nice looking.
LOVE the mailboxes! Those are so much better than the typical run-of-the-mill ones. :) Do they plan on building behind you or will you have open space?
As far as we know the area behind should always remain open. It's not owned or zoned for residential right now. So unless there's a huge residential boom, I don't anticipate anything being built.
Yay progress! Your mailboxes are so nice! Isn't it funny how you start to really care about things like mailboxes and stakes when you build a house? Excited that you guys should be starting soon!
Cool! You guys are getting closer to that first milestone, a hole in the ground. :) My wife and I still drive around the entire neighborhood just to see who else has been staked. Then we try and guess which one will be dug next.
There really isn't too much activity going on in our subdivision as a whole, so it's pretty easy to figure out. Lol. We like to try to figure out what type of house is built when they pour the foundation. It's a fun game, and sometimes we are SO wrong. Lol.

ReplyDeleteShould start tomorrow... Then we have a forecast of rain for like a week straight. The house gods need to start smiling down on us! Lol.

Bridget,
DeleteTrying to figure out the model is fun, my wife and I do that one too. The footings can be so deceiving.
